Dr. Nicole Glaser,  UC Davis Medical Center

Diabetes, a lack of insulin in the blood, is common in children and can cause severe brain damage. This lecture will look at various aspects of how scientists study this disease.
Dr. Glaser studied at Swarthmore College and Harvard Medical School. She is Professor of Medicine at UC Davis Medical Center, where she studies Type 1 Diabetes in children. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Diabetes Association, and Western Society for Pediatric Research.
