The COSMOS Program offers high achieving high school students the opportunity to explore advanced topics in math and science in a university setting. COSMOS participants attend courses taught mostly by UC Davis professors and live in off-campus university residence halls during the four-week program. In addition to attending classes, participants conduct lab experiments and go on field trips to relate what they learn in the classroom to the world we live in. Students are required to complete a final project and conduct an oral presentation of their findings in order to receive a Certificate of Completion. For more information, visit our Frequently Asked Questions section for students.
Students do not receive academic credit for their participation. Instead, at the end of the program they will receive a Certificate of Completion.
